Most natural stone does require periodic sealing to resist staining and moisture penetration. Quartzite and granite are more dense and durable; marble and travertine require more attention. We advise on the right sealer during installation.

Yes. Granite, quartzite, travertine, and certain slates hold up well in Sacramento's climate for outdoor kitchens, patios, and pool surrounds.

Both are calcium carbonate stone — travertine is more porous with a warm, organic look; marble is denser with dramatic veining. Both require sealing and careful maintenance.

We select slabs from the same batch, template precisely, and lay out the cuts in the shop before delivery so you can approve the positioning before installation.

For natural stone, we walk clients through slab selection in person at the supplier's yard whenever possible, so you see the actual slab — not just a sample chip — before we cut it.

In many cases, yes — small chips and hairline cracks in granite, marble, and quartzite can often be filled and polished rather than requiring full replacement.
