Yes, if the overhang extends more than about 10–12 inches without a wall behind it, we add steel corbels or plywood bracing underneath before the slab goes on, so the edge can handle everyday leaning and seating without stress cracks.

Yes. We coordinate cutouts for pop-up outlets, cooktops, prep sinks, and cable chases with your electrician or plumber before fabrication, so the openings land exactly where your rough-in is.

Most standard islands come from a single slab with no seam. Very large islands (over roughly 9–10 feet) may need one seam, which we place along a natural line — for example, next to the sink or cooktop — so it stays as unnoticeable as possible.
